Having done diets all my life, I can tell you the best ones are the ones that include and exercise program with them. The first step is to go see a Doctor. Remember to check with them before starting any diet. It is important not to over do it on the first day.

Equally important is the fact that you must make your exercise enjoyable. Don’t start running everyday if you absolutely hate to run. If you don’t like high impact exercise try out swimming or walking. Both very different but offer you light exercise and the benefits at just as good as running. Join a health club ONLY if you are dedicated to going every other day at the very least. Don’t join and waste the money if you don’t have time in your busy day to get to the gym. You can always set up your own at home gym for very little money. If in time you are having fun and think you would like a weight set you can always go to garage sales where you will find great bargains. But remember something before you run out and buy new equipment. Over ninety percent of at home gym equipment is thrown out years after the purchase. Why? Because they never get used and people need the room in their homes for more useful things. I am seen several tread mills at the end of driveways with signs that read, free to good home.

It is essential to change your lifestyle to maintain weight loss. Get off the couch, turn off the television and get out and go for a walk. Join a club, and get moving. It has more then just external benefits. Exercise create feel good chemicals in your brain. If you feel good chances are you are going to look great. A great tip for people that like to go for a walk, but don’t like to walk in the winter months. Check out the nearest mall to where you live. Many malls have started a “mall walkers” club, and not only is it warmer in the mall you can meet a wonder bunch of people that share your joy of walking.
