Well for someone that has been significantly over weight for a long period of time may have hidden issues that may need to be taken into consideration before starting a diet program. The doctor will help you determine your proper weight and can advise you as to which weight loss program may be right for you. They may even suggest you talk to a nutritionist to out line proper eating habits. If you cut your daily intake by only 500 calories a day you could shed up to five to ten pounds per month.
