Vitamin Supplements
In addition to protein supplements, you will need to take vitamin supplements for LIFE,the dose depending on which surgery you have had.We recommend that patients begin their vitamin schedule one week post-op.Over the years, some of our patients' iron levels have become low. If additional iron supplements are added to your vitamin schedule, remember that iron should be taken on an empty stomach along with vitamin C. If you don't remember which surgery you had, please contact our office.Please Note: The following vitamin products and dosages cannot be interchanged. When you choose one vitamin product to use, you must be consistent with that product. Your provider should help you determine if and when you need to change. Vita4Life
**NOTE: See above for additional daily calcium citrate requirements.Calcium Absorption Tips: a day may be helpful in maintaining adequate Vitamin D levels which is important in calcium absorption through the intestine. However, exposure to sunlight may increase the risk of skin cancers. Please discuss this with your primary medical doctor and/or dermatologist prior to starting this modality. If you are on Isotonix or have no other significant source of Vitamins A & D , then you must take: Vitamin A tablets - 10,000 units ea Vitamin D tablets - 400 units ea
